We are getting close--we are getting really excited!! The beautiful hand-scraped maple wood floors are in, the walls are painted-exception for a few touch up's and finishing painting the wall on the right side of the fireplace. The trim is up and the stainer/finisher is finishing the doors. We have electric-Praise Be!! And our maple cabinets are getting placed this week. I was able to stain and poly the wonderful logs that grace our fireplace and help my friend and craftsman, Boone Armstrong, install the log railing. Boone is a great guy and a awesome wood carver that I have just let loose in my house--he did the wonderful trees that adorn the fireplace and built the log railing that goes all the way up to the 3rd floor! He also has some wonderful other carvings of Indians, canoes, and his famous old men that you will find around the property.
